In reply to your letter of Feb. [February] 6th the condenser of our lantern is 4 1/2 inches in diameter, and you may make a plate almost up to this, but it would be well to confine any drawing within 4 inches square, as the mounting will bring the plate itself to slightly larger dimensions.
