Title | Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Mr Darwin |
Date | 3 March 1897 |
Description | Rucker thinks that Darwin and [Joseph Norman] Lockyer would be very good referees, but referees ought to be appointed or approved as such by the Committee. It will therefore be necessary after the reports are received either to have a meeting to approve the referees and decide as to the fate of the paper or to get the decision of the Committee by correspondence.
Rucker will give orders about the abstract when it arrives. Rucker will let Darwin know as soon as Lockyer's report comes in, and then a meeting can be called if Darwin approves. Asks that the paper be returned to the Society once Darwin has done with it, and that he authorize Harrisons to send it to Lockyer. |
