Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Andrew Russell Forsyth, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 5 November 1897 |
Description | Professor Lamb has already sent in his report on Mr [Sydney Samuel] Hough's paper on the tides stating briefly that he recommends it to be published in full in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Assuming Professor G Darwin's anticipatory report is taken as the first referee's report, the formalities have now been completed and Forsyth has the power to direct Harrison to proceed with publication. [Arthur William] Rucker concurs with this as he supposes Forsyth will not care to have a meeting of the Mathematics Committee until the reports on Sheppard and Pearson are both in. Asks for a line of instruction. |
