Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs Few & Company |
Date | 22 December 1903 |
Description | Harrison responds to their note of earlier that day to state that the Trustees appointed in the first mortgage of the Duke of Norfolk were those they mention, but of their number Sir Edward Frankland and Sir William Robert have died and no one has been appointed in their place. The Trustees of the additional mortgage of £12,000, executed in 1892, are Lord Avebury [John Lubbock], Sir John Evans, Lord Rayleigh and Sir Arthur Rucker.
Harrison speculates, in spite of the lack of immediate access to the papers and the fact of the events occurring prior to his appointment, that the second mortgage was a separate transaction, with the Trustees therefore being distinct. |
