Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr [Henry Charlton] Bastian, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 5 June 1905 |
Description | Before returning Bastian's manuscript to him as requested, Geikie asks, as Bastian's opinion is that the question at issue is more chemical than biological, if he would like the note referred to the Chemical Committee. This could be done later if Geikie likes, when he has had the opinion of Sir W Ramsay, as to whether S and P are present in the solution. Geikie does not see that it matters what the bacteria were, so long as they undoubtedly were bacteria, nourished on a liquid by which the definite chemical composition can be accurately determined. |
