Your paper on "The absorption spectra of sulphur vapour etc" has been under consideration, together with your note of the 7th instant, and I am directed to inform you that the Secretaries are prepared to make the paper as suitable for publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society] subject to the omission of plate 4 and of the tables on pages 19 to 28 inclusive. I therefore return your paper for amendment in this respect but am directed to say that if there are any special points in the tables which you consider of importance there would be no objection to such points being mentioned briefly in the body of the paper.
P.S. The paper has been put down for reading on June 23.' |
