Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Mr Wheatley |
Date | 11 June 1912 |
Description | There will be no difficulty in him having access to the two busts and mace that he wishes to photograph. With regard to the pictures it will be quite impossible as they are under plate glass and have just been cleaned and re-hung. They cannot satisfactorily be photographed without taking them from their frames. As a facsimile reproduction of the Charter Book is to be sent to the delegates and Fellows of the Anniversary celebrations, it is not desirable to forestall this by having these pages appear in a newspaper.
Geikie was not aware he was an honorary member of the Pepy's Club. It is kind of them to ask him to take part in their December dinner, and he hopes he can come |
