Description | The Postmaster General has consented to the opening of a special post office at Burlington House for the delegates attending the Royal Society's 250th Anniversary. The Geological Society have been good enough to lend the use of their meeting room for the purpose. For the use of the post office clerks a certain amount of special fittings will be required in the room, and Harrison has been directed to ask if H M Office of Works will undertake to install the fittings. It is hoped that they will also assist to this without expense to the Royal Society, but if not, they are prepared to bear the cost. |
