Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Bate Hardy, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 1 May 1913 |
Description | Plimmer has brought in his report on the [David] Bruce 'Trypanosoma Pecorum' paper, which he recommended for publication in 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', notwithstanding its length and the omission of a plate. The Biological Secretary remarks that these papers from Bruce are interim reports of a Commission sent out under the auspices of the Royal Society, and are not in the same category as papers communicated in the ordinary way, as regards the restriction on length.
Regarding the plate, it is only fair to quote Bruce's covering letter in which he expresses hope of the plate being included as the last one was very poor. A new one can be done at the expense of £8, which will have to be undertaken by the Stationery Office for the Sleeping Sickness Reports, in which all these papers are collected and republished. However, they put in very inferior work at the Stationery Office. |
