In answer to your letter of the 3rd inst. [instant] I find that Lord Kingsburgh's ann. [annual] contribution was entered in our banker's pass-book as "J.H. Macdonald". We took this to be the ann. contribution of Dr J.R. Macdonald, another Fellow of the Society, hence our application to his Lordship. I will explain the matter to his Lordship. Will you kindly in future let the payment be made under the name Kingsburgh.
