Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr. Arthur Keith, FRS |
Date | 4 October 1917 |
Description | Explains that Dr. Arthur Keith's letter about the Mackie Fund was received at the Society when both he and Mr. [William Bate] Hardy where away from London. Informs Dr. Keith that Mr. Mackie himself recently wrote direct to the Treasurer, sending a cheque for £1500 and his scheme of conditions for the expedition. Assures Dr. Keith that the issue will be laid before Mr. Hardy as soon as an opportunity arises, and will then be laid before Council at their next meeting. |
