Title | Copy letter from Michael Foser, to Sir William Henry Flower, Natural History Musuem, S.W. |
Date | 5 November 1892 |
Description | Professor H G Seeley has obtained, by the help of a grant from the Government Grant Committee, a fossil skeleton of Pareiasaurus and other geological specimens. It is a regulation of the Government Grant that all instruments, specimens et cetera, of permanent value whether purchased or obtained out of, or by means of, the Grant, or supplied from among those at the disposal of the Committee are to be regarded, unless the Committee decides otherwise, as the property of the Government, and are to be returned by the applicant at the conclusion of their research. The President and Council of the Royal Society understand by this that the specimens in question should be placed in the British Museum and Seeley is ready to place these items in Flower's hands. |
