| Title | Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Karl] Pearson, FRS |
| Date | 8 December 1921 |
| Description | Informs Professor [Karl] Pearson that they have no collection of [John] Pell's papers, only two manuscripts of his: one account of an eclipse, read in January '1663/4', and 'Answer to the algebraick question sent out of France'. Suggests that the Pell papers in the British Museum are those that once belogned to the Society, and notes that a search could be made through their Council Minutes from around 1760 to see if there is any record of the transfer. |
