Title | Copy letter from William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Secretary of the Economic and Overseas Department; India Office, S.W.1. |
Date | 26 May 1925 |
Description | Informs the Secretary that the President and Council of the Royal Society are at present unable to cooperate directly in the investigation into [the diease] Kala Azar now being carried out in India, as they cannot secure the services of the person they had selected for the work. Informs the Secretary that they have, however, sent a Commission to Northern China comprised of Major [Walter Scott] Patton and Dr Edward Hindle, to study Kala Azar there, and hopes this will be helpful to the Indian enquiry. |
