TitleLetter from Howard K Smith of CBS News, Broadcast House , Washington 16, USA to Professor Blackett, Department of Physics, Imperial College, Imperial Institute Road, London SW10
Date3 April 1959
Description ' Please forgive me for not having answered your kind note earlier. I have been so very busy here that I have neglected many things I wanted to do.

I have interviewed Kissinger twice in Television. I find him very interesting indeed, but implacable. Senator Kennedy who is busy running for the Presidency two years early has a brain trust of lecturers from Harvard and M.I.T., Kissinger is one of them; but so far Kennedy has found Kissinger too rigid to take his advice.

In two days I will be on a panel interviewing General Norstad. I shall use some of your ammunition. [Last sentence underlined.]

My wife joins me in sending best wishes to you and Mrs Blackett and hoping we will see you before long. '
