Bell writes regarding emendations to the paper, stating: 'My view is that Professor [Edward Armand] Guggenheim has been unreasonable in insisting on the detailed alterations which he suggested. [...] The authors have gone quite a long way towards meeting some of Professor Guggenheim's criticisms, and I think the paper should now be published.' Includes manuscript note explaining that Bell will be travelling to the USA. He asks not to be sent papers for refereeing until his return at the end of July.
