Title | Letter from Walter Stiles, on a paper 'Phyllotaxis: its quantitative expression and relation to growth in the apex' by Francis John Richards, to D C Martin, assistant secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 2 May 1951 |
Description | Paper reference code: B49
Stiles has reported favourably on Richards paper, however remarks he does not have a 'deep acquaintance' with the subject matter. In his opinion the only Fellow capable of making a sound judgment on the paper is George Robert Sabine Snow, and if Snow's report is 'contrary' to Stiles, he would defer to Snow's opinion.
