DescriptionWith reference to the the Royal Society Club account, Scott points out that the two bottles of special claret were not ordered by the Club's Treasurer. He asks that the Head Waiter is instructed that the Club cannot be responsible for wine not ordered by one of the Treasurers, or by the members acting for them in their absence. He expands upon this, stating that the instruction only applies to expensive wines.
