Description | Professor H A [Hendrik Antoon] Lorentz of Haarlem is to deliver the Rede Lecture at Cambridge and Scott thinks they should invite him as a Royal Society Club guest for dinner on 17 May. He is a Foreign Member of the Royal Society and has won both the Copley and Rumford medals. Scott has not been able to dine with the Club lately, but hopes to this Thursday, after which he must be at the Chemical Society anniversary dinner. |
