| Description | Headed '1785. List of Members of the Society, called The Royal Philosophers'. An alphabetical list of named members of the Club, with records of subscription payments. With a note: 'Those that are marked to have pd. Augt. 4 were present at the Annual meeting 28 July 28 & paid then'. With some notes against individual names, notably the admissions of Colonel William Calderwood and William Herschel. Against Mr. Wegg, 'was present 18 Augt. but havign only 1gea. in his pocket desired not to pay as he was gping out of town so he did not'.
