Refers to a process that 'only seems to work for high relative velocities and therefore massive clusters where the tidal disruption becomes unimportant compared with direct collision'. Also refers to another case noting that 'it is not yet clear to me what happens to all the tidally disrupted material, but it could be that you are right and it will make bigger stars'. |
