Also contains two papers by Thomas Gold, 'The origin of hydrocarbons on the earth' and 'Theories of the origin of hydrocarbons on earth', one of which was probably given as a lecture in 1989 as part of the Milne Lecture series. Also includes a letter from Hermann Bondi and Miranda Weston-Smith, dated 3 May 1995, asking if the lecture he gave as part of the Milne Lecture series could be published as part of a book containing all the Milne Lectures. There are also two copies of a leaflet advertising a lecture Gold was giving on 5 November 1982 entitled, 'Abiogenic methane and the origins of petroleum'. |
