Description | Contains handwritten and printed notes on subjects such as thermodynamics and the Swedish and Swiss deep gas drilling projects. Also contains handwritten calculations and equations. It is not clear what these calculations and equations are of. Also includes draft (both printed and handwritten) and published papers e.g. 'The nature of time'; role of gas clouds in causing aeroplanes accidents; 'Earth outgassing, deep microbiology and the availability of natural gas', 'The deep hot biosphere'. There is a note on jettisoning nuclear waste into space using a machine gun, a letter from Thomas Gold to Senator Tim Wirth giving him 'some of the reasons for thinking that the national gas suppy in the US could be greatly increased and could be a major factor in displacing imported oil', Oct 1992, and a letter from Thomas Gold to the Editor of the New York Times entitled, 'Natural gas may hold key in global-warming era', Jan 1989. There is also a copy of the Introduction to the German edition of 'The deep hot biosphere' by Professor Alfred Barth, Oct 2000. |
