Description | Thanks Swinton for sending verses, describing them as having a pleasant marmionic [?] rhythm, stating it is 'a very fine family history of which anyone might well be proud. There is a delightful reminiscence of the primeval times, and of the "singul life" when head of cattle was the only cirterion of wealth'. Hopes to be able to see Swinton soon. Includes the envelope the letter was sent in, featuring a large wax seal. |
