DescriptionReminding Swinton that on 17 October 1927, at around 3pm, a collision occurred between his car and that of Mr Bectary, a cattle dealer, living in Chailly-en-Brie; Swinton's car was following the national road in Pavillons-sous-Bois, towards Paris, when, for an unknown reason, he stopped suddenly, without any prior signal, and Mr Bectary (their insured) who was behind Swinton was unable to avoid hitting his car from behind. Infomrs that Mr Bectary considers Swinton the be liable, and therefore has the intention of caliming from Swinton 1495.50 francs for repairs and compensation for immobilisation. Requests Swinton to provide details of his insurance company and how he intends to proceed with the matter.
