TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir [Robert] Forsyth Scott, M. A.
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date14 March 1927
DescriptionInforms he is due to receive an injection on the morrow and therefore does not think he can come to Cambridge on Wednesday, requesting to be excused. Raises a matter of importance, after having seen Mr Rye, Manager of Edumundsons, who has just returned from Cambridge. Rye has expressed his satisfaction with what he saw and the information he obtained, and is today reporting to Mr Tuckett, the Chiarman of Edumndsons, in favour of Edmundsons coming into the matter on the lines that have been suggested, with some modifications. Reports he also discussed the matter with Highfield. In the first instance, they agree that it is desirable that nothing should be allowed to leak out, either to the shareholders, to Devonshire's people, or to the Corporation, as to their negotiations with Edmundsons. Elaborates on his point in detail.
