Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Peter |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 30 March 1927 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter, glad to hear Peter enjoyed Corfu. Updates on his ongoing illness. Sorry to say they have had a somewhat severe shock with regard to Rricardo & Co, inasmuch they have suddenly been landed with a claim against Ricardo, on behalf of Somerset House, for £11, 000, which is more than he has got. Comments on the Committee he formed with Beale, De La Rue, and Goodenough for consideration of the matter. Sorry to hear about Beale's death as he was a very decent sort of a man. |
