Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Stuart De La Rue [Esquire] |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 10 May 1927 |
Description | Informs he has heard from [Robin] Houstound that he is expecting to be in London on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday next week. Relays telling Houstoun that he would consider whether there was any way of satisfying him without paying him his £1, 4000, or some of it. Keen on De La Rue's suggestion of having another live director, and that Houstoun would be suitable but there are concerns in relation to his previous duties and the fact that he lives in Newcastle. Concludes that Houstoun is very reliable and could always be depended upon to do the right thing. |
