Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Miss C. Muriel Waterhouse, Lyceum Club, 138 Piccadilly |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 25 May 1927 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of the previous letter and the invitation. Does not feel that he has time to enter a debate much as Waterhouse suggests. Explains that his differences with Woolley are fundamental and that results of experiments cannot be considered as conclusive unless they can be obtained to order every time, they are tried under proper conditions. Comments that psychical people admit this cannot be done in psychical matters, therefore psychical results are not capable of proof. |
