TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Miss Blanche Sitwell
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date5 July 1927
DescriptionWritten on Swinton's behalf by his Secretary, A. W. Langley. Informs Swinton has been in communication with the Kensington & KnightsbridgeElectric Lighting Company and has established that the reason why they wanted to get in touch with her electricians was because they received a message yesterday purporting to come from her electrician, asking them to send and tube in thier mains (run them through metal tubes) at 39 Egerton Crescent, owing to dampness. The Company could not understand the message because their mains to the red service box in the passage under her doorstep are already safely tubed.
