Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Mr. Higfield |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 11 November 1927 |
Description | Enquires if Highfield knows anything about the process for depositing indiarubber electrically, both for making rubber-covered wires and cables, and for making motor car inner tubes, called the "Anode" process. Understands that Dunlops have brought it from America. Comments that the process to be the same as their Osmosis process except that raw indiarubber juice, called "latex", is mixed with water into an emulsion and is employed instead of the china-clay. |
