TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to R. H. Kidd [Esquire]
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date22 November 1927
DescriptionInforms he has received disappointing news from Professor Dalby, who is on the Council of the Institution C. E. The Ordinary Engineering Degree of Cambridge University is not considered of any account, which has also been confirmed by Sir Richard Glazebrook. Dalby recommended making a special application for individual consideration but that this would only be useful if Kidd could show that he carried on for several years at Cambridge after getting his Degree. Adds that Dably sees no reason why Kidd cannot go in for the Institution examination A, B, and C.
