TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir Robert [Abbott] Hadfield
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date2 January 1928
DescriptionInforms he has been able to discuss the matter relating to Lord Askwith with other Members of the Council who are acting with him, explaining they do not think it would be any use communicating with Lord Askwith with a view to his having a chance of withdrawing from the Chairmanship of his greyhound racing company, as he could scarcely do so without returning to the shareholders the large amount of money that they have subscribed, adding that he shows no sign of repentance either. Accepts Hadfield's proposal that he talks to their President on the matter, discussing elections. Encloses a copy of the draft letter with names of the signatories. Informs they intended to send the letter to Askwith this week but are willing to wait until they hear from Hadfield.
