Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Professor [Herbert Brereton] Baker, C. B. E, F. R. S., Imperial College, S. W. 7 |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 17 February 1928 |
Description | Referring to a previous conversation, sends a copy of his letter to the Times on Water Divining, dated 25 November 1927. Understands that some Water Diviner so not pretend to be able to find water in pipes as they say that the rod only works to water from natural sources and not to water put there artificially. If Baker is proposing to invite Dean Norris to experiment, it might be well to ascertain beforehand whether he pretends to be able to find water in pipes. Also encloses a copy of a letter from Petavel to him, enclosing a copy of a letter to Professor [John Walter] Gregory, declining, on behalf of the National Physical Laboratory, to make tests there. |
