TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir Robert [Abbott] Hadfield
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date3 January 1928
DescriptionInforms he has had further discussions with Members of Council who are acting with him in relation to Lord Askwith and greyhound racing, and who have some comprehension as to how their President will deal with the matter. Hopes that the President can be induced to write to Askwith personally and tell him privately of the discontent amongst a number of the most prominent Members of the Council and that remaining on the Council will do some serious reputational damage to the Society of Arts. If this approach works, there will be no need to send the signed letter.
