Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Reverend Henry Carter, National Emergency Committee of Christian Citizens |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 9 March 1928 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of Mr Wigton's letter of 8 March and a reply to say that he duly read Carter's letter in the Times on greyhound racing, in response to Lord Askwith. Regrets that Carter did not emphasise the fact that these defenders of greyhound racing are all personally financially interested in its continuation. Informs that he is part of a group of members of the Council of the Royal Society of Arts who are endeavouring to remove Lord Askwith from his position as a Vice-President of that Society. |
