TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, The Athenaeum, Pall Mall, S. W., to The Correspondence Editor of The Morning Post
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date31 December 1927
DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of a previous letter, in response to his original one on dog racing. Understands their difficulty as they asked Lord Askwith to write but points out that, at the same time, they ought to have regard to the fact that Lord Askwith is known as Treasurer of the Young Man's Christian Association, bearing a reputation as a philanthropist, therefore making his financial involvement with dog racing very undesirable. Acknowledges that his previous letter was strong, enclosing a further letter, lowering his tone [enclosure present].
