TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir John Murray, 50 Albermarle Street, W.
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date21 April 1928
DescriptionComments on the interest value of a recent article published in the Quarterly Review by Mr. William J. Brittain, on "The Beginnings of Television". Wishes to get in touch with Mr Brittain as he appears to be unaware of the recent letters he has had published on television over the last twenty-one years. Encloses a recent lecture he gave which refers to these letters [enclosure not present]. Particularly concerned that Mr. Brittain ascribes to two Germans and two Frenchmen, all of which is long after his, ideas that were originally suggested and published by him for the first time by anyone, in 1906, and in greater detail in 1911 and in 1921.
