Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to L. C. Pocock [Esquire] |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 5 May 1928 |
Description | Referring to a previous letter, regrets to have to inform that he has heard from Doctor Eccles that, though he put forward Mr. Nash's name to the Council of the Institute of Electrical Engineers last Thursday, he was unsuccessful, as others put forward had a large majority of votes. Surprised at this as he had written to Mr. Page, the President, who said he would support Nash, though he did not know whether he might be ruled out owing to there being no vacancy in his branch of electrical engineering. |
