TitleLetter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Ralph Cory [Esquire], Librarian, Royal Institution of Great Britain
CreatorSwinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer
Date17 May 1929
DescriptionReferring to a previous letter, and the suggested exhibition of his photographs of eminent scientists, previously shown at the last Soiree of the Royal Society, states he is unsure whether the Soiree Committee of the Royal Society will not wish to show the photographs again at the Ladies' Soiree, on 19 June. The matter is unlikely to be settled until the next Committee meeting on 23 May. If they decide to show them, then he does not think he should show them earlier at the Royal Institution and will be in touch once the matter is resolved. Should they decide not to show them then the Royal Institution may have them for showing on 24 May.
