Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Professor [Cecil Lewis] Fortescue, City & Guilds Engineering College, Exhibition Road, S. W. 7. |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 18 February 1929 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter and its enclosures. Agrees with Fortescue that in a case of this kind it is very difficult to draw up anything of the nature of a rigid contract and that much must be left to the final settlement of the account and to the bona fides of the contracts. Does not understand whether Fortescue's draft of the proposed letter to be written by Mr. Lowry is intended to be supplemental to or in substitution for the copy of his letter to Lowry. Does not feel sufficiently up to date to make any technical criticisms on details. |
