Title | Letter from [Clifford Copland] Paterson, Research Laboratories of the General Electric Company, Ltd., Wembley, to [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton [Esquire], 66 Victoria Street, S. W. |
Creator | Paterson; Sir; Clifford Copland (1879 - 1948) |
Date | 12 January 1927 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter and thanks Swinton for meeting with him in relation to the radiologists. Reports of having attended a meeting with [George Gascoigne] Blake, who spoke moderately but lacked a case to go upon, as it is clearly arranged that members of the Röntgen Society automatically become members of the British Insitute of Radiology. Informs that Swinton was mentioned, his letter was read, and that he has been invited to become an honorary member of the Society. Further informs he did not personally go to a lecture on television but having heard from those who have, relays that the content was not dissimilar to what is contained in Mr [John Logie] Baird's book on the subject. |
