Title | Letter from [Richard Arman] Gregory, Nature, Macmillan & Co., Ltd., St. Martin's Street, London, W. C. 2., TO [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton [Esquire], F. R. S., 40 Chester Square, London, S. W. 1. |
Creator | Gregory; Sir; Richard Arman (1864 - 1952) |
Date | 26 March 1929 |
Description | Thanking Swinton for his letter of 25 March and further communication on "Practical Television and its Problems". Informs he will be sending the letter to the contributor of the notice of Dinsdale's book in Nature but doubts whether any useful scientific purpose would be served by continuing the correspondence, highlighting that not every slight differences of construction or interpretation between them is of public interest. Recalls the facts relating to [Oliver] Lodge and wireless and the early history of the Marconi Company. Does not believe there is much similarity between Lodge and [John Logie] Baird. |
