DescriptionTechnical drawings executed between 1881 and 1886, depicting Swinton's patented telephone apparatus (patented in 1885 and constructed in 1887) including transmitters, receivers, with diagrammatic representations, as well as details of stylistic features such as finish applications on receivers. Some of the drawings are labelled in a way that would suggest they were to appear in scientific publications. Also included are drawings of arc and electric lamps.
