Side A: 5 minutes and 55 seconds. Cole is responding to a request for voice sample following his election as a foreign member. Describes time in Oxford as a child during the First World War, and various stories relating to his family and several meetings with members of the British Royal Family.

Side B: 5 minutes and 15 seconds. Undated, c.1973, presumably recorded at Berkeley. Chime concert, possibly recorded in Cole's office with the window open; there is a distinct sound of a car horn at 00:25 and various sounds of someone (presumably Cole) shuffling around during the recording.
