| Description | Sends his best wishes for Blagden's return to England. Hopes to be in London by October next year. Sends compliments and two letters to Sir Joseph Banks concerning measurement of intensity of light and on coloured shadows - hopes they will be worthy of the attention of the Royal Society. Sends letters of introduction for Blagden to use in Munich, in one of these has asked Monsieur de Schultz to give Blagden one of his Photometers and one half of the little Iron Canon. Asks him to forward a letter to his daughter in London. Reminds him that he has leave to travel due to illness and that when talking to the elector Blagden "must therefore take care to make me sick enough". Walpole is not his friend. Asks Blagden to call on Lady Clifford and on Father Kenedy, Secretary to the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. Recommends the library and also Babo, Director of the Military Academy. The Elector may ask Blagden about Volta's experiments. |
