Describes how "the mob" broke into Sir Joseph Banks's house, they are all unharmed although some damage was done to furniture and all the windows and door were "broke in pieces" and some unimportant papers stolen. Discusses news from America and landing of Bonaparte in France. Was living in Harley Street but the riots have made it hazardous for his wife and children. Describes the passage of the [Corn] Bill. Has no news of the Hope family. |
