Description | A telegram from Captain [William] Colbeck, captain of the 'Morning', in Christchurch, has been placed before the [Royal Geogrpahical Society] Council. It states that he has telegraphed [Cyril] Longhurst twice for money without receiving a reply. He has been forced to borrow money, and requires £800 to be sent to him. The letter directs the Royal Society to the urgency of the bills in New Zealand, and notes that the commander of the 'Morning' should not be forced to borrow money. |
