DescriptionReporting that intructions have been given to the Commander-in-Chief of the Australian Station to provide assistance with refitting the 'Discovery' at Lyttelton if the ship gets free of the ice. Coal supplies will be arranged from Admiralty stock at Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands. Ample provisions are being taken out on the relief ships.

Commander [William] Colbeck has received orders regarding the transportation of the collections, records and valuables from the 'Discovery' if the ship needs to be abandoned. Captain [Robert Falcon] Scott has already received orders for conveying the expedition members home in this event.
