| Description | Asks if the Royal Society has received any more typewritten manuscripts on the Banyoro from the Reverend John Roscoe [who is conducting the Mackie anthropological expedition in Uganda]. Notes that he has received two from Roscoe today, one describing 'Banyoro birth customs' and the other 'Banyoro infancy, childhood, and puberty'. Explains that Roscoe used the phrase 'more MSS' in his letter, suggesting that some had already been sent, but that [James] Frazer has not received any previously, and worries that they have been lost in the post. Notes that he has advised Roscoe to send duplicate copies of all his reports to the Royal Society in future. |
